Among the Dead by Hansol Jung is a play on war, violence, and family. Stuck between Korea and US, this play looks at convoluted characters jumping time and space to reach to each other. Ultimately, it is a story of love between a daughter and a mother. Through this play, I have also finished my thesis, Actors in Trauma Narrative: An Investigation Into Among the Dead's Rehearsal Structure where I explore definition of trauma, resemblance of trauma and theatre, current rehearsal structures, and 'Comfort Women' represenation on stage. For more detailed information, please look at the dramturgical packet and thesis attached to this page.
